Want Better Orgasms?
|
The Importance of the Pelvic Muscles for Orgasm For a good picture of the Pelvic Muscles, look at these drawings from Arnold Kegel, MD, who first championed the idea that exercise with biofeedback could improve urinary control and then discovered that better muscles led to better orgasms! More than 65,000 people have downloaded The Kegel Bibliography since it was first posted on the Internet over three years ago. It includes everything written through 1984 by and about that great physician, Arnold Kegel, MD. Most people don't realize that after Dr. Kegel spent a decade (1946-1956) solving the problem of urinary incontinence, he spent the next two decades (1956-1976) dealing with sexual dysfunctions and orgasm. The Kegel Perineometer: Biofeedback 20 years Before Its Time is a short paper which explains that Kegel was the first to use biofeedback, 20 years before the term was coined. This paper was accorded "Special Historical Paper" status at the 1989 (Twentieth) Annual Meeting of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB). Research data (Strip Chart recordings) showing blood flow and muscle activity during (1) Kegel exercises and (2) Masturbation are available. See also: The Bastardization of Dr. Kegel's Exercises
